Pray for University Entrance Exam
I am a freshman just entered a university. I went to church with my parents when I was a child. I sang songs, read the Bible, prayed and learned many things about characters in the church.
I like praying when I was just a little child, anything that I encountered with, I would find a place where no one could see and quietly pray in front of the Lord. When I was in High School, the studies became very difficult, and many contents I couldn’t understand. My father and mother said to me: “We don’t understand, neither. We can’t help you, but you can pray for your studies in front of God. We will pray for you, too. What we can do for you is only to pray, and we believe that the Lord will give you wisdom.”
As for studying in High School, the most important thing is not only the University Entrance Exam, but also the High School Graduation Exams of each subject. If I can’t pass even one of the Graduation Exams, I need to re-take a make-up exam; if the make-up exam can’t get a pass score, then I can’t even obtain a High School Graduation Certificate. If the score of the Graduation Exam is too low, even if I can pass, it can affect my future application to universities. According to my abilities, for many subjects I can only get C or D, therefore, I began to pray for my Graduation Exams, and I also asked my parents to invite others to pray for me. They often asked people in the church to pray for my Graduation Exams, later I did not only pass all the exams, but also got B above for all the subjects, and I even got three subjects with A grades. I am very thankful that God listened to our prayers.
As the University Entrance Exam was approaching, all school mates were studying very hard and preparing for the Great Exam, but I myself felt more and more confused, and I could only get more than 300 points in total in the trial exams, however, if a person wants to be accepted by a university, he needs to get more than 500 points. I was very nervous and worried, and what I could do was only to commit my situation to the Lord’s hands, and asked other brothers and sisters to continuously pray for me as well.
When the University Exams were finished, when I got to know my scores, I couldn’t believe the score that I got. I usually couldn’t even get more than 400 points in the exams in school, but this time I got more than 450 points, a score that is close to the university acceptance bottom line, and I had a hope of being accepted by a four year university.
Now I am already a student in a four year BA program in a good university. When I look back at my studies in High School, what I can say is that all is by God’s grace. Through these things, I understood: God takes care of all our issues, as long as we establish a good relationship with him, and pray in front of him often, whether in our daily life, or our work, or our studies, He will truly take good care of us.
